Sacred Writing Time Challenge

In a house there lived an ambitious, courageous chihuahua named Anika. Not a passionate wide, giant house, filled with gold and a cozy smell, nor yet a sticky, sly, urban house with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a chihuahua-house, and that means happiness.

One day, after a troubling visit from the golden retriever Olivia, Anika leaves her house and sets out in search of three frozen motorcycles. A quest undertaken in the company of ghosts, pixies and mysterious elves.

In the search for the golden retriever-guarded motorcycles, Anika surprises even herself with her intelligence and skill as an adventurer.

During her travels, Anika rescues peanut butter, a heirloom belonging to Olivia. But when Olivia refuses to try smiling, their friendship is over.

However, Olivia is wounded at the Battle of The Friendship just before Anika preforms some serious singing.

Anika accepts one of the three frozen motorcycles and returns home to her house a very wealthy chihuahua.

First things first, let’s define a mission statement. According to Dictionary.com, a mission statement is:

an official document that sets out the goals, purpose, and work of an organization.

Although the above definition applies to an organization, you can apply it to yourself, or even a class, right?

This was probably the most fun project we did in English. I love how you can see other peoples perspective about how third (seventh) block means to them.  Our classroom’s mission statement is our opportunity to define how you think ethnicity, learning, confidence, and friendship to make our classroom amazing.

Mission statements may seem overused, unimportant and cliche, but it can help focus with the things you want to do.

Working in a group, or rather a partner, was really enjoyable. Olivia and I both had different visions about this, and we didn’t agree with each other the whole time. But somehow, with our exotic minds, we came up with one powerful packed statement.

When I saw the final statement, I appreciate how we have so many ideas from everyone to combine one unbelievable statement. To you who has picked these words out of thousands to read. Without you, these words would be meaningless, that’s the thing about words – they only hold beauty when one is there to witness it.

As block 3/7 strikes, we walk in with confidence.

Whenever we set goals, we never give up.

We shall guide our own path,

be it on paper or in the classroom.

Let’s explore and make mistakes, and

together we’ll become connected in friendship.

We embrace the opportunity of our education.

We are here because we have the freedom to learn.

In this creative class, we are allowed to be messy, different,

and make unique decisions!

We have the power to write our own story.

We can inspire others or express ourselves, because

WE MATTER!
